At Monti Sabini, we obviously love really good olive oil, but we're also quite partial to a nice glass of Vino. So it's rather fortunate that we know Alessandro Toni - a wine producer in the Sabine Hills. Alessandro took over the production of the wine from his father, and has concentrated his efforts on improving his wine with every vintage, ever since.
We have been lucky enough to work with Alessandro to produce our own label - Zigolo - a Merlot Sangiovese. The grapes for Zigolo grow on clay-based, south-facing vineyards. They are hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel, before the wine is transferred to oak casks where it matures for one year. The final product is left to further refine in the bottles.
